Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has released three images of its all-new 2018 Jeep Wrangler, a long-wheel-base wagon and the very cool short-wheel-base two-door Rubicon.
Jeep is calling it the most capable SUV (hate that term for a 4X4) ever and promising that it delivers even more legendary Jeep 4X4 capability.
The short press release confirms what we’ve known for a while now. We can expect advanced fuel-efficient powertrains, more open-air options including a fold-down windshield and dozens of different door, top and windshield combinations, along with a swag of advanced technology and safety features.
Of course, it all looks very familiar, thanks to that instantly recognisable keystone-shaped grille, round headlamps and square tail-lamps, with the bits in-between being smoothed out to offer improved aerodynamics.
But that’s it for now folks. It’s but a brief tease to keep your Jeep juices flowing between now and the Wrangler’s official launch, on the 29th of November, at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
The all-new Wrangler will be launched in Australia in early 2018.
