Don’t worry, we know… Just put a jacket over it or slide the chair a bit further under the desk. There is absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about.

It’s just an enthusiastic response to a very sexy rendering.

The crew over at Bronco6G.com have been speculating about the return of the legendary Ford Bronco and their 6th generation Bronco renderings are mouth watering.

According to the creators the 2020 Bronco renderings provide a “conceptual look at the 6th generation Bronco”.

“For our concept Bronco, we fused styling elements from previous Bronco generations, the 2004 Bronco concept, and modern Ford trucks and SUVs. You can see the classic round headlights and square inset front grille evolved from the 1st gen Bronco, which was also showcased in the retro-futuristic 2004 Bronco concept.”

In a world that is moving away from solid axles and separate chassis construction for 4X4s the conceptual Bronco is staying the course.

“Our concept features a modern body on frame next generation Bronco that retains a tall, boxy, tough, no-frills design with a strong focus on utility and off-road capabilities. We fitted separate versions with different grilles, wheel fender shapes, varying ride heights, and cargo rack for some different looks.”

The Bronco is expected to be reborn by 2020 and if it does it will be butting heads with an all-new Jeep Wrangler and Land Rover Defender both of which will be sold in Australia.

The all-new Defender is believed to be underpinned by an all-aluminium, independent suspension platform while Wrangler will retain it’s body on chassis construction and live axles. Both will be extremely capable off-road despite their designs being polar opposites.

The big question is will the Bronco be on a platform that allows RHD production and if so, will it return to Australia?

Our arms are open.
