Land Rover has announced some changes to its 2015 Range Rover Sport model line-up, including an all new entry level TDV6 S model.
The ‘S’ slots in under the currently available $102,800 TDV6 SE and uses the same 190kW/600Nm 3.0 litre twin-turbo diesel that is claimed to deliver 7.3 l/100km.
There’s also a new diesel-electric hybrid model and nearly $7000 in new standard equipment for the SE, HSE and HSE Dynamic trim grades.
Standard features include 19-inch alloy wheels, harddisk-equipped satellite navigation with audio server and voice control, 250W eight-speaker audio, reversing camera with on-screen guides and a ‘hitch assist’ function, and 6/4-way seats with height adjustment.
Air suspension and the Terrain Response driving modes system is also standard.
SDV6 3.0 Diesel Hybrid
The Range Rover Sport’s full parallel hybrid system, revealed in August last year as part of a London to India trek, is now available for order in Australia.
Pairing Land Rover’s 215kW 3.0 litre diesel engine with a 35kW/175Nm, the LR-SDV6 Diesel Hybrid promises a combined 250kW and 700Nm of torque.
That’s matched to an eight-speed auto, delivering official fuel consumption figures of just 6.4 l/100km. CO2 emissions are listed at 169g/km. Officially a 0-100km/h time of 6.7 seconds can be achieved.
The SDV6 comes with a 3000kg towing capacity and 300kg towball download weight.
The 3.0 SDV6 Hybrid will be available in both HSE and Autobiography trim levels.
- HSE Hybrid – $146,900
- Autobiography Hybrid – $165,300
