Owner’s Thoughts

While I haven’t owned the Prado for very long, in the time I have spent with it, I am able to say that it is an absolutely brilliant car and a weapon off-road. The car has done many 4×4 trips and has never let me down. It was well worth the money that I paid for the vehicle.

I am used to driving a GQ Patrol which was my daily driver until I purchased the Prado. My intentions were to use the GQ as my camping/4wding car and the Prado as my daily driver as it is more modern and family friendly. To my surprise, the Prado actually out performs the GQ on the tracks!! I’ll be sure to take the Prado on our next camping trips and put the GQ up for sale.

The best thing about the Prado is 100% its fuel economy, I was very pleased. Another great thing about the car is that it has plenty of room for storage. I have fitted a roof rack to the car and it now has plenty of room to bring all of our camping gear. This includes, tents, swags, Webber bbq, Oztrail gazebo, gas bottles, petrol cans and more! The only real bad thing about this car is the rear seats. My son is always complaining that he gets a sore back after long car rides in the Prado. For the first time a few weeks ago I sat in the back of the car for a short trip only to realize he was telling the truth.

All in all I am really happy with the purchase.
