A new 2016 Holden Colorado Storm has launched this week, in what is likely to be a last hurrah for the current shape Colorado, due to be updated later this year.
It’s a ‘bar and badges’ special that is based on the Colorado LTZ 4X4 Crew Cab and adds a handful of extras for a $500 premium.
The extras aren’t about to help the Colorado’s off-road performance but they do dress it up a little.
Up front there is a ‘Storm’ branded bonnet protector and a black nudge bar. Out the back the ute tray gets the black sports bar treatment and the rolling stock has been upgraded with some unique 18-inch alloy wheels.
Genuine ‘Storm’ badging is guaranteed to have the neighbours frothing, while a full set of carpet floor mats will keep the mud from your work boots out of the real carpet.
Under the bonnet it’s business as usual with the Colorado’s regular 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel engine producing 147kW and 440Nm with the six-speed manual and 500Nm when bolted up to the six-speed auto.
The 2016 Colorado Storm will be available from $51,490 from mid-April at your local Holden dealer.
