Recall: Jeep Grand Cherokee Front Brake Caliper Issue

Recall: Jeep Grand Cherokee Front Brake Caliper Issue

Fiat Chrysler Australia is recalling a handful of Grand Cherokees due to a potential issue with the front brake calipers.

The issue concerns the brake caliper for the front left wheel, which may have been manufactured using an incorrect grade of material.

Applying the brakes with extreme force could result in the caliper rupturing which in turn could severely compromise braking performance.

FCA Australia has identified 27 Grand Cherokee vehicles that may be affected from the 2015 and 2016 model year ranges and will be contacting owners of the affected vehicles directly, to arrange repairs via their local Jeep dealership.
