Anthony likes his Paj so much he gave it 10/10 in every category in his recent Owner Review. We like it because it looks bloody awesome. A ‘Loaded’ article was called for…

Why did you choose this particular 4X4?

I wanted something that was up for the task ahead, something that will be capable and reliable enough to point it where I wanted to go and know that it will get us home safely both on and off-road. I wanted a 4X4 because it can take us places we thought we would never go to and allow us to explore the unexplored (for us).

I did a lot of researching before I made the decision to buy the Pajero. The main reasons why I went with the Pajero was that it offered value for money and it ticked all the boxes.

Nine years later and it is still the best decision I could have made.

What have you built this 4X4 to do?

I’ve built the Pajero up to handle both on-road and the different types of off-road terrain that I encounter in my travels.

I have a passion for four wheel driving, getting outdoors, exploring and fishing. I set up this Pajero specifically for my needs and where I wanted to go. It might not be set up for extreme off-roading, but it is set up for touring Australia and seeing the unseen, the sort of places that people who don’t have a 4X4 wouldn’t know even existed.

As of now, I still have plenty of modifications on the ‘to-do’ list but I am slowly getting through them and reaching the point where I am extremely happy with my rig.

Where have you taken it and what are some of your favourite tracks/destinations?

I have been to many destinations in the Pajero for day trips and long weekend trips. Some of my favourites are Fraser Island, Stradbroke Island, Moreton Island, Bribie Island, Rainbow Beach, Cooloola Beach, LandCruiser Mountain Park, the Glass House Mountains, and Condamine River Track. All of these are great places to visit with family and friends.

Would you set it up the same again and if not, what would you change?

Personally as of right now, I would definitely set it up the same again and would not change a thing. If it works well, why change it and so far it’s working well.

What future mods do you have planned?

I have a few things left planned for the Pajero in the future such as long range fuel tank, water tank, a front locker, and rock sliders.

Is there anyone that you’d like to thank for their help/assistance with building your 4X4?

I would like to thank ARB and TJM for their help and assistance with my build. I would especially like to thank my mates who helped me work on the Paj to get it to where it is now as we have done most of the work ourselves.

Do you want a feature article like this on your 4X4? If your 4X4 is modified (can be anywhere from mild to wild) then our readers will want to see it. Getting it ‘Loaded’ is as easy as filling out this LOADED QUESTIONNAIRE.
