Anthony’s Navara isn’t just a 4X4, it’s the family holiday home!
Owning a 4X4 means different things to different people. Some folks need one to get to their favourite fishing spot, while others like to find the hardest tracks possible and put their skills and their 4X4 to the test.
Others just like the jet turbine sound of muddies on cold bitumen.
Anthony is one of those chaps that has his priorities well and truly sorted out. His Navara has one job to do and that’s to get him and his family out to see the Aussie bush as often as possible.
With that in mind, Anthony has set about building up a solid 4X4 home away from home.
Keeping the Navara’s vitals protected is a steel bull bar, while alloy side steps make it easier for the kids to get in and give the sills a bit of protection at the same time.
A snorkel ensures water crossings can be tackled with confidence and cooling performance is aided by a larger than stock radiator. Anthony reckons a larger exhaust is next on the mod list.
The Navara sits 2-inches higher than stock, thanks to a 2-inch lift kit and Ironman rear helper springs.
There’s plenty of lighting up front, with a couple of decent sized driving lights and a ‘just fitted’ LED light bar tucked in at the front of the bull bar.
Anthony and his family are well accommodated at camp, with an Aussie Traveler roof-top camper and a full-sided awning keeping the wind and rain out.
Packing enough gear for a family getaway is a cinch thanks to the steel tray and canvas sided canopy.
If you aren’t getting out on weekends, then take a leaf out of Anthony’s book. Buy a 4X4, build it up to fit the family and get the heck out of town!
