When it came time to downsize from his LandCruiser, Adam stuck with the brand he knew and placed his faith in a HiLux and their reputation for toughness.
With that reputation in mind, Adam has left the Lux mostly standard mechanically, the only additions being an electronic throttle controller and an intake snorkel.
A 2.5″ Ironman 4X4 suspension lift complements a 1″ body lift and allows Adam to easily run 32″Nitto Terra Grappler off-road tyres on 16×8 Allied Thunder rims.
A TJM winch bull bar protects the front of the Lux and houses a pair of Hella 4000 Spot lights.
The tray features a custom built lockable canopy with a canvas cover that doubles as a mounting platform for the Tigerz11 roof top tent.
Inside the tray resides a custom build drawer system and a 48-litre water tank.
Adam likes his 12V gear and runs a centre console fridge kit and a 40-litre Waeco fridge along with a range of LED lighting additions, including roof rack mounted LED camp lights, LED reverse lights and a 20″ Ironman 4X4 light bar.
There’s also a Redarc dual battery system to keep the fridge and lights humming happily.
For Adam, it’s the perfect setup for heading bush and getting away from it all.
