Scott’s GU Patrol is as tough as nails and doubles as the family tourer and 4X4 Adventure Club weekend warrior.
And that means it’s been built to handle the tough terrain these guys push their rigs through while filming their show for Channel 31.
Scott wanted tough and he wanted reliable, and the big petrol Patrol delivers on both counts.
To keep the running costs down, Scott fitted gas injection to the Patrol’s 4.8-litre petrol engine and bolted a snorkel on to keep it dry while fording High Country rivers.
Ground clearance has been increased with a 4″ suspension lift, and adjustable shocks allow Scott to dial in the ride and handling characteristics he prefers. Big 35″ rubber is his preferred choice for the trails.
Upfront sits an Ironman 4X4 winch bar and there’s an MCC rear bar looking after the back end of the Patrol.
If you want to see Scott driving the big GU on some of Australia’s most iconic tracks, tune in to Channel 31 or Digital 44 and see what the 4X4 Adventure Club are getting up to in the second series of their show.
