Chrysler Jeep premiered two new Wrangler models this week at the 2014 Paris Auto Show.
The production ready “X” special series will be available in both two and four-door Wrangler Unlimited versions with either the 3.6-litre Pentastar petrol V6 or 2.8-litre turbo diesel.
Sporting Jeep’s new Firecracker Red paintwork, the “X” comes with a few extras to set it apart from a run-of-the-mill Unlimited, including a Mopar dual-intake bonnet, black grille inserts, 18-inch alloy wheels and Jeep’s infotainment system with GPS satellite navigation and a 6.5″ touchscreen.
The “X” is expected to go on sale in Europe during the first quarter of 2015. There are currently no details regarding the possibility of it becoming available in Australia but don’t count it out. We’ve recently seen the very similarly equipped Polar Edition Wrangler in Jeep showrooms.
The Wrangler Rubicon Stealth is in a different league altogether and features off-road bar work, a Mopar bonnet and a reasonably serious suspension lift, enough to allow the fitment of 37-inch tyres on 17-inch rims.
There is also a custom interior, matt paintwork and LED lights mounted to the front of the roll-cage.
Will you see the Rubicon Stealth at your local Aussie Jeep dealership?
